TorstraBe, AugstraBe, wandering the mitte I happened upon the KW institute and caught a show by the Isreali artist, Absalon. His works are white geometric living spaces, bunker-like. The ceilings and doors shift height and width with the intention to make you aware of your body in space. To be honest, I found the work to be quite cerebral and boring. I went to the window on the top floor of the institute to watch the sunset, I suddenly remembered I had been there before, ten years earlier. It was exceedingly warm then, a soft humid summer light, the memory of elena there with me hung heavy at my side, a phantom limb.
